書籍やムックを中心に活動中。趣味の人形服製作がきっかけとなり、幼児教育書などで子供のための仮装衣装、運動会衣装、お遊戯衣装や小物の制作も。最近はロックバンドのジャケットアルバムデザインやキャラクターデザインも手掛ける。東京都在住。

Akiko Miura Lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Musashino Art University (Junior college of Art and design) Department of Design. Miura became a freelance illustrator after her working experience at a design company. Over the years, she has been working for various publishing companies, and publicity. Miura has experiences of creating the characters for merchandise, and she also makes costumes and handcraft costumes for the books for teachers who teach preschool children.
